But there are many users who are confusing in choosing channels. Due to this, TRAI has launched a new web application to simplify the channel selection process.

The Channel Selector app will understand the user's choice and show the list of channels. Also, whatever channel you want to select, the MRP will also be shown. This app will ask users some questions. On this basis, it will show the list of channels of his choice to the user. With this new app of TRAI, users will also know the Monthly Rentals.

Learn how to use:

• To use this application you will need to go to https://channel.trai.gov.in/.
• Then click on Get Started, which appears on the bottom. Here you will be asked a few questions.
• First, the user will have to provide information like his name, state and then style priority.
• When the user answers all the questions, then the list of the channels will be there according to your interest.
• Users will be able to choose the channels of their choice and get information about their monthly rental plan.
• After this, there is a need to click the View Selection button on the top right-hand side.
• The information about free channels paid channels, payment of a total amount, GST tax and network capacity fees (NFC) etc. will be given here.
• Apart from this, the list of free channels is shown with Monthly Rentals.

On the left side of the channel selector app, there will be many options like price, HD / SD, style, broadcaster, and language. Users can set filters according to their need. The Optimize button will also be given on the 'View Selection' page. Here you will also see a cheaper package.
